The weather forecast said a shower or two at Olds Park on Saturday.
Well, in the late afternoon it didn’t shower…it ripped down with hail and lightning and fury, causing the abandonment of a number of games. This was not before we saw one of the craziest halves of a football game in Olds Park memory in the Mens Prems.
Down 0-43 just before quarter time, Dragon-whisperer Quinn chose the correct words to awaken this team and send them on a 10 goal to 1 rampage through the second quarter, turning a 43 point deficit into a 20 point lead! The weather arrived while the teams were in the sheds and the rest is history...
Our Women’s Div 3 side put in a dominant performance over on Olds 2 and our Women’s Div 1 put in a strong performance, only to go down narrowly to UTS.
