Club Statement

St George AFC is pleased to announce that in 2027, our club will compete in the Sydney Football League.

St George has been granted one of nine licences in the elevated competition, which will be established as the State’s premier competition.

St George will compete in the SFL’s four divisions commencing in 2027, Senior Men’s & Women’s, Under 19.5 Men’s and Under 20 Women’s.

AFL Sydney will remain as a vibrant, inclusive, community-based competition with divisional football for Men and Women.

We look forward to the exciting opportunities and enhanced pathway that the SFL will provide, supporting St George in our continued development of local talent.

As the representative for South Sydney in the SFL Competition, St George is proud to remain the destination club for premier-division football in our region.
